Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate projects from start to finish
  • Provide engineering calculations and drafting necessary to create and assemble construction documents
  • Manage, direct, and review the work of other engineering staff
  • Coordinate with other design professionals to gather all relevant information necessary to complete the
    engineering design
  • Draft proposals and provide engineering fee estimates for new projects
  • Site visits as needed for observation and inspection

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in structural design for timber framed, residential and commercial buildings
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
  • Project management and team leadership experience
  • Experience with building codes including IBC, CBC, and ASCE 7
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as Enercalc, ClearCalcs, RISA 3D, and drafting software such as Auto CAD (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
  • Ability to communicate well with clients, team members, and working collaboratively to find solutions and overcome obstacles is a must

 

Compensation

  • Salary: TBD based on experience (Range $95k – $110k)
  • Anticipated work hours per week: 40 hours
    • Remote work available based on experience
  • Sick leave – 5 days paid sick leave/year (40 hours)
  • 5 paid holidays (New Year’s Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)
  • Vacation (Accrual basis – 7 days/year)
  • 401k
