Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate projects from start to finish
  • Provide engineering calculations and drafting necessary to create and assemble construction documents
  • Coordinate with other design professionals to gather all relevant information necessary to complete the
    engineering design
  • Site visits as needed for observation and inspection

Compensation

  • Starting hourly wage: $27-$35/hr – based on experience.
    • Anticipated work hours per week: 40 hours
  • Sick leave – 5 days paid sick leave/year (24 hours)
  • 5 paid holidays (New Year’s Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)
  • Vacation (Accrual basis – 5 days/year)
  • 401k
  • Eligible for partial coverage for employer sponsored health care (75% coverage – Silver Plan)

Technical Requirements

  • B.S. degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering (E.I.T. required)
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial building methods and materials
  • Ability to communicate with others via email, use Microsoft Office software, and use miscellaneous other software
  • Proficient drafting using Auto CAD
  • Proficient in creating and using Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical skills and the ability to interpret information
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Experience in other engineering programs (RISA 3D, Enercalc)
